Roof Repairs

A repair is where trust gets tested, because the customer usually can't see the roof. Plenty of firms use that to sell a full re-roof off the back of a slipped tile. We don't. If your roof needs a repair, we repair it — and if it genuinely needs replacing, we'll show you why with photos from up there before you commit to anything.

What we most often put right

• Slipped or missing slates and tiles — usually rusted nails ("nail sickness") on older roofs. We refix or replace and check the neighbours that are about to go.
• Leaking flashings and valleys — the junctions around chimneys, walls and roof valleys are the most common leak points on any roof.
• Cracked or loose ridge and hip tiles — often the old mortar bedding has failed. We re-bed or convert to dry-fix.
• Blocked or split valley gutters letting water track back under the tiles.
• Storm damage — lifted ridges, blown-off tiles, damaged lead. We can make safe fast and do the permanent repair after.

Finding the actual leak

Water is a liar — it runs along battens and rafters and shows up in the ceiling metres from where it got in. We trace it back to the real entry point rather than smearing sealant over the nearest stain, which is why our repairs tend to stay fixed.

For storm and accidental damage we provide the photographs, report and itemised quote your insurer will want, and we're happy to deal with the loss adjuster directly.

Repairs are quoted at a fixed price after we've been up to look — no open-ended day rates.
